A Giant Swallowtail butterfly larva (also known as an Orange Dog) is a double mimic, resembling a bird dropping and the head of a snake to avoid predation - Grand Bend, Ontario, Canada. Host plants are members of the citrus family - here the larva is feeding on the leaf of a hop-tree.
